I can literally remember learning to hate anime from it, I had some limited okayish exposure via some friends in college and they'd raved about DBZ, so I was in Dayton, my first morning staying at the BOQ and I switched on the TV while fixing some coffee, and I found some cartoons (DBZ obviously) and left it there, I heard some loud grunting and looked over, and one of the characters looked like he was prepping to lay down the smack, this went on, with him just standing there looking constipated for a minute or two, and they broke for commercial. I shrugged, jumped in the shower, got out, poured coffee, and saw he was still standing their, grunting and 'summoning power' or something. So I started doing a crossword, and the show ended, and he was still standing there grunting, well it turned out to be a marathon or something because a new episode started and he was still standing their grunting after some sort of recap, most of which was recaps of him doing that. Well, I knew after that long a setup there was gonna beat some serious badassery so I watched, and he attacked, but then they broke from the seen to show some little dude who immediately takes a stance and starts doing the same thing, I hit the power button and gave up on anime.
