There could be any number of quirks to the character. He makes a good Vig, obviously. He could be similar to a Whitecloak from WoT, where he is good but gets points when certain other players die (channelers, Tar Valon-ians), even if those other players are good too. He could have a suicide power, where if he thinks he has succeeded or thinks the town is close to winning he kills himself to finish the job, with some benefit to the town, there are quite a few ways to spin it.

I don't know how similar Light and the Operative are, so I'm not trying to suggest that HI has any of the above quirks. But if Light's alignment is open to interpretation, even if Yuna normally believes him to be evil, I can see her making him good, as a twist. And if HI knows little about anime, reads his role message and knows he's good, he might not know enough to know that most people that know about Death Note think he's evil, especially people here. Obviously HI knew how F-T felt, but he might count on differing opinions to save him after making a true claim.

I don't know. I'm just saying. If the Operative is really a good comparison, that makes me more reluctant to lynch HI.
