What I really want to ask is "Does your role power seem strongly connected to your character?" but it seems kind of wrong to jam a gun in the mouth of town roles on day 1. Nor does our normal "Does character reasonably match role power? Vanilla answer yes" seem appropriate. I think what we want here is more specific, something like "Do you feel there are many other characters of equal or greater familiarity that could have your role with equal or greater compatibility?" I don't see an obvious throat-exposer in that, any vanilla could obviously answer yes. Most obvious mafia roles like cop or doc would be hard to assign, maybe a seer as cop for instance, but if you were Perseus you'd match cop no better than say Tiresias the seer. Most greek heroes would have a legit claim on a NK or NK-proof role, etc. We can skip the flavor aspect in this I think, usually flavor can be set to explain how someone has a role power even when its non-obvious, "Doctor Smith, you are a doc, your years at medical school have given you the power to heal wounds" being a bit redundant compared to "Jessica, you have acquired the ring of healing". Greek heroes are generally only obviously suited for killing people and not dying, but they had a lot of seers and philosophers and such who could easily fit investigatory roles and all.

Anyway, the primary purpose of a question on this front would be to determine if, first, there's any real connection between character and role power, without exposing anyone, then to drive on for a second part question if that should prove true or false. We obviously can't ask "Is your character uniquely suited for their role?" but that is kinda what I'd currently like to establish as not being the case anyway, I'm reasonably confident about this actually not being the case. Anyway phrasing suggestions or hidden pitfall exposure welcome.
