As you can probably guess I'll be following our normal convention when using deadlines of not killing a day right in the middle of a lynch but as we have few players 'imminent lynch' is a bit hard to define in terms of L-2 or even L-1 so I'll be trusting to common sense on that score and you can assume I'll at least drop a 24 hour extension if there's clearly something in progress, same as I'd clip the deadline down to to some 96 hour warning etc if there was a post slump. So a headsup on that score, though of course not a surprising one, deadlines are there to encourage motion not shoot the tires out of the proverbial wagon, at least that's how I view them.
More relevant though, since we have the dueling rules in play, a deadline doesn't clip those off. As the rules mention there's a 24 hour period if a challenge is issued for that to get resolved. Just a rmeinder, when the hammer gets dropped the lynchee has basically a 1 in 3 of falling over dead same as normal, but before the duel can take place the hammer has to accept the challenge, if they don't their vote for the day - at least on that person - is removed. They are still in the VNTL - 4 at the moment as MR. X is effectively RBIRL, so that withdrawn vote doesn't cause the VNTL to drop. Regarding deadlines, if we've gone into effective 'overtime' you can safely assume that 24 hours extension is granted. So hammering then withdrawing the vote by refusing a challenge after the normally daily deadline has passed doesn't automatically end the Day. Wanted to clear that up.
Also, knowing this group I expect a lynch in the next day or so to happen - that's not encouragement one way or another, just stating the fairly obvious I think - anyone who thinks themselves likely to be a hammer or lynchee should probably review those dueling rules and anyone who thinks they are likely to be lynched can feel free to state their intention to challenge it, which I kinda take as a given. You don't have to pick your weapons until after the person accepts your challenge obviously, though you can and it the flavor of the setting would more or less requires you, if you stated your weapon preference with the challenge - maybe hoping to bluff them out or whatever - to stick with those. e.g. you can just say "I challenge you to a duel" then give weapons choices after they accept, but if you say "Guns at high noon then!" and they accept it's not appropriate to then say "Excellent, we shall battle at dawn by playing Candyland, best 2 of 3"
For the hammer vote, assuming they aren't just struck dead by you voting, again a 1 in 3 chance, once you accept and they offer you 'weapons', a first and second choice of skill, will, flesh, or energy, do feel free to select the actual weapons for flavor purposes. It won't effect the outcome's results but I will write up the twilight with the chosen method. So if you want to duel by chess, guns, swords, staring match, etc so long as it's nominal in tune with the actual attribute chosen that's how it will go down. Once the hammer selects weapons both need to send in their NBs for rock, paper, or scissors.
Hopefully that all made sense, feel free to ask questions.
