Maybe, ? can't answer directly though one could ask him hypothetically of course, if he'd be likely as a day role to phrase things that way. A daycop as of Day 2 role would not have been a bar in a normal game to subbing, as he wouldn't have known anything not known publicly already. I don't think it would be too surprising if he were, or if you'd put together Day 2+ Daycop as an improbable role to be claimed as a fake RC, but my gut tells me that the 3 of us are being truthful and that the anticipated course of action would be for both cops (or more if we've got it, we may even have deputy roles) to get a guilty response, for one to claim under the logic that we couldn't HC and saving a guilty copping against risk of death might be reckless, for the second to counterclaim, and for the Day Cop to cop one of them to check, and the Day Cop would be expected to save their investigation for late in the day when normal actions had narrowed down some suspicious targets, so he'd be expected to have it around to check.

It wouldn't matter which result he got, innocent or guilty, one of the cops would be lynched. So you may be sane, but odds are you'd have been expected to investigate the one you thought was more likely to be guilty, gotten guilty, and raised less mental flags, but again it wouldn't matter. The end result of all those options would be to Confound us.
