We don't actually know how much income these items generate, but the only obvious caveat I'd add is that the Steel Inquisitor hire might result in a knife to the eyeball from the scum or an attempt by the scum to buy it it out every time it appears. It might even be viewed as knife-worthy, when no one else stands out, to NK people who won auctions. I think we best counter that by simply pointing out that doccing and copping (or game equivalents) might also be better aimed that way, so that the scum might be less likely to try to buy up the Steel Inquisitor or knife the person who did.
Having a bit of practice running these auctions before, I'm going to bid on all of them right after this post at a tiny fraction more than the highest bid I see for each, more to organize them then to acquire all. It would, IMHO, be a good idea for everyone who wants to stay in the bidding to always reply to the freshest bid for the item with just 'thing - money' in the title, e.g. 'Slave - .5 atium' and to just keep replying to the most recent till it gets to about the twelfth or so post, then replying to the original bid (mine) with a fresh one if its still going. This will make it easier on everyone to keep track, including our mod, see here for an example. I will probably reset bids myself should they get long tailed by replying to my own original bid with something like ********Slave - Last Bid: Stephen - 1.2 atium********** and post off the tail bids with <------- continue below and I'd advise others follow the same idea. I'm not sure if the hammer vote ends the auction or the Twilight post does, but I'd imagine we can expect last-minute lightning bids. Personally I'll say for the record that I won't do that myself unless I've been very actively on with a bid, I won't be jumping back into any bids at the last moment that I've gone stale on unless the staleness is a byproduct of RBIRL or obvious game-related events. I'd encourage others to act similarly, after today anyway.
I also suggest, unless rana posts the income or avg. income these things produce, that we have whoever get the slave, farm, and mine post, in code possibly, at the start of the day what that income was, so that we have some idea what these things are worth. Figure if our death rate is normal for a game of about this size a 'good deal' for an income generating object that spews cash daily would be that daily income times roughly 1/3rd the number of remaining players. Of course if this is 'deathless' that's rather out the window, ultimately though if you're paying more than the thing's daily income times the remaining number of rounds, it's a waste.
So, I'm going to bid in now on each, if I missed a new high bid please reply with what that bid was 'Slave, John, .4' etc or your own new higher bid with that in mind. I don't know which I want, but I doubt that I'll follow up on the Inquisitor beyond this first one as people generally have enough excuses to put a knife in my back without me adding one.

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
