I know with certainty you don't by into the mystique about how cunning and manipulative I am, you've seen me in action as a partner scum too much. If this were just one error by Stephen then yes, it would be reasonable to think I might be out there driving in wedges to exaggerate it left and right. You should also be able to see that if it were anyone but me on the receiving end Stephen would be L-1 right now, not me. He was the last to code claim with the highly dubious 'I forgot', yet that doesn't make sense. A role should have been anxious to code claim especially with all the safety net I draped around lengthy responses. By the time he claimed, after I'd said my ulterior for the day was outing possible scum by seeing who passed on the 'Also', he had every reason to believe he could and should work his RC, no matter how long, into his code and could do so without repercussion.

Yet he opted not to, he chose to give a long padding text anyway, which could have been used for RC as easily, and left a giant black hole instead. On a complex role that screams 'scummer safe claim' he choses not to detail it when he could do so and be above suspicion and instead does it after accusing me when we demand to know why his apparent cop claim is full of holes.

Seriously he forgot? It was the first thing we did, within 48 hours of the game starting everyone else had there's up and he forgot? And he didn't read anything up about how it was best for role and non-role alike to have an 'also' even if it was really just 'randomnonsensebeingencodedforkicks'?

And the final claim... that's not how people do it. Sure, maybe right out the gate, top of the morning, "I copped him guilty" but you know how it should have been done.

Day 1: Encode role with details
Day 2: On a guilty, if you decide to move, do it in force, full claim and decode... unless you're seeking to draw out a desperate counter-claim... but you'd never do that without hard evidence of you own, like a coded claim.

Think about how anti-town what he did was. He's not the cop, he couldn't know we didn't have one, there's was an absurdly strong and transparent chance he'd out the real cop and seal his death warrant in one swoop by claiming to have copped me. That's not how an experienced player moves, that's the oversight accident of someone who is working from a different base of priorities. It's an error, but it's the error of someone engaged in framing someone not someone working for the better part of a month considering his own real options. There is just no way a jack-of-all-trades with an OS copping isn't going to be thinking 'Ya know, we might have a normal cop or investigator who is going to be very skeptical of my claim, and speak up, and then I'm seriously dead because I never coded my claim and he probably did, and now Isaac's going to walk free while I get lynched and he knows who are cop is.' I mean, how ludicrous is that? Stephen's not a newb, Stephen's a very veteran player noted for his caution. One error? sure, sure, but the proverbial laundry list of poor judgment? Even if he's telling the unvarnished truth this one goes down as Top Ten anti-town actions.

And right now the others are seeing a murky cloud of weirdness going on and that makes them look at me, but you know me better, and you're a schemer too. I'm good, but I can't make people produce series of errors like that. All the weirdness, none of it can be of my doing. I couldn't make Stephen botch his coded RC, present a needless and risky HC, or risk killing himself and outing our cop by apparently claiming to be cop with no evidence to back it up via coded RC.
