That's because I don't make cases without evidence of some sort. Something to understand is that my day 1 approach when scum is generally more focused on keeping allies from getting lynched and trying to sniff out the theme and any serial killers or cults.

As for beet, he knows a hunch won't result in a lynch, I'd never vote to back that up even if I wanted the target dead and was scum, it's unsporting, it's anti-game, it would taint the victory. I doubt I'm the only one who feels that way either, the game is about maneuver and manipulation, investigation and inquiry, not unsupported hunches. Very few of us will vote for a hunch.

So why do it? Well, I'm guessing he's trying to imply he knows more but is afraid to reveal it. Like a cop trying to push a lynch without claiming to point the finger at the person they copped guilty. I think he overplayed it but it makes sense. It fits. But it fits only a sinister variation. He wants you all to think he has something but in a way that gives him plausible deniability after the fact. A workable strategy too but I think it's going to get him dead. Simply put, implication of a secret without saying it works well only if people have good cause to think you might know something and are really trying to conceal it put slipped up. This isn't a slip up, he's practically hung a neon sign saying 'I know something but don't want to say it', like exaggerated whispering and looking people do when trying to egg someone else on that they're being talked about rather than when actually trying to covertly tell someone something.

Nah, if this were a real hunch he'd be trying to do what I suggested - find additional, real evidence to present, no matter how thin, to back the case. And if he had a 'secret', he'd have revealed it by now even if he were trying to conceal it assuming the cat was out of the bag, everybody always over-estimates the amount they reveal about their role/flavor/etc from remarks. He's either being anti-game, trying to push an unsupported hunch in a game that's about evidence, argument, spin, manipulation and maneuver, or he's trying to trick you guys into thinking he knows something without actually having to formally stick his neck out. Either is sufficient for a Day 1 lynch.

I don't expect you to trust me, but the reasoning is sound, not a hunch, an intuition or hunch backed up by reason, that's what I'm offering.
