Clearly, one of them is lying. If beetnemesis were scum, and if he knew, as Artsapat apparently does, that Fantasio is not in this game, he might well make that claim. He's done that before... I remember Helen of Troy becoming the Cyclops and slaughtering everyone, and I'd like to prevent a recurrence of that.

And if beet does turn out to be innocent, his death should show us how to proceed.
