Xanthe picks up an apron and ties it on. She confidently walks over to the wine jar and pulls it toward her. She glances around to be sure no one is looking too closely, and then slips her bundle of special herbs out of her sleeve and into her palm. She quickly unwraps it, removing a few leaves. She crumbles them into the wine and swishes the jar gently until they dissolve. That done, she picks up the heavy jar and heads toward the doors to the common room to serve the wine to Delat's squad. Her heart beat quickens, but she remains calm, confident that the wine jar, apron, and Sammil's antics will provide an adequate disguise.
