That stupid girl failed in her quest. Bloody well says something for the competency of the servants of the flaming dark one, he thinks to himself. He could see that pretty soon things were going to get messy, and only fear of what would happen if he failed could possibly fuel him to even come out of the private dining room, to come out and look into the eyes of the men with whom he had fought all these years, the men he was about to help slay. He wasn't afraid of what the Dark One would do to him, he didn't fear torture or death. It was bad enough being a filthy Darkfriend in his own eyes, if anyone else knew, well anyone that mattered, surely these other Darkfriends didn't count, he would just kill himself.

Better at this point to kill the men with whom he had fought, better to be taken to the slopes of Shayol Ghul and tortured, better to die by one of the Darkfriends hands, then let the men that trusted him know who he really was, and what he had been ordered to do.

Some of the other soldiers gesture to empty seats by them, eager to talk with their commanding officer, and friend. Tian turned them all down, pretending to be interested in the commotion of the actions of the foolish girl, eyes unfocused as he moved over in front of the door and rested his hand on his sword hilt. Things had gone too far.

Tian made up his mind, if he personally had to kill each one of his soldiers with his bare hands that night, he would.

But he didn't have to like it.
