It explains why you don't have a hypocop and it doesn't reveal your role. It doesn't even necessarily reveal that you have a role; I know people have gotten RB dawn messages even when playing as vanilla townies before.

Most importantly, it lets the town know that we have a roleblocker. Looking at who gets blocked in addition to who gets killed can give us more insight into our opponents mindsets. At this stage of the game, any information we can get is valuable.

Besides, you've done this before.
