From her secret spot Xanthe can't hear much else besides crickets. Her ears are sharp though, and she can detect faint screaming and shouts coming from the inn. Seconds later, figures begin to flee the inn through the front door and even the windows. She can make out white aprons on most - those would be the serving maids. She wonders what has happened inside to trigger such a violent reaction ... fennel is a relatively fast-acting poison, but more gradual in its effects. Hopefully Maravin or Delat hasn't done anything too stupid... squinting hopefully, she searches for a fluttering patched cloak or the glint of a giant axe among those fleeing the inn. She considers her options and decides it would be best to wait here for now. There's no use leaving this safe spot only to run into a maid or that Light-blasted cook who would point her out the the authorities. No, it's much better to wait here. Perhaps her Friends have come out the back, and will circle around to this path out of the village the same as she had. They can meet up that way - but to go looking for them now would be suicide. She's already had one close call tonight, and is eager to avoid another.

((So Xanthe will come down if you guys pass by/she sees you coming, but she's not leaving this spot otherwise. I dunno if you still want to roll or what ... you don't actually have to find her, per se, just wander near this location. ))
