Trust me, I'm mafia.

For some reason, being asked to trust someone always seems to provoke immediate distrust. Something doesn't seem right here. Since this is a space game, I might even go so far as to think... It's a trap!

I think there are probably a couple different options here:

1. Hopper AS is just joking around.

2. Hopper AS has decided he (?) no longer wants to play, and would like to be lynched.

3. Hopper AS is a jester or something, and by getting lynched they fulfill their win condition.

I think one or two is the most likely, and if that's the case, they should just come out and say so and spare us arguing over something irrelevant.
