How can you really enjoy something WITHOUT breaking it down? If there's nothing to break down, it is a fleeting and shallow pleasure at best.

As for the liking/hating issue, the world isn't designed to be a happy, fun or enjoyable place, and most man-made things are flawed by that very aspect of their natures. Odds are most things will not be likable. And even the things that are good have issues. As far as I can see, negatives are more interesting and informative, anyway. There is a reason why Inferno is the best known and most admired portion of Dante's "Comedy." There really isn't much to say about the good.
