Good stuff. Nate Send a noteboard - 31/05/2010 04:20:11 AM
That was exciting!

I liked how it showed tension within the Silurian society, rather than paint them all with one massive big green brush. And the balance with a human going wrong was also good. I really liked the science-guy.

And Rory! Dead? Really? That was quite a shock. I wonder whether it will stick, or whether some weird time-thingummy will bring him back. Perhaps that is what causes the crack? The Tardis exploding in an attempt to cross time lines and bring Rory back once Amy realises what she has forgotten? I wonder whether the ring is in the box, as the box is clearly still there.

And now I think about it it seems obvious that the reason why Amy cannot remember the Daleks and Cybermen must be because they have come too close to a rift, too. Somehow. Hmmm.

Thoughts?

I liked that episode. I'm pretty sure we haven't seen the end of Rory, or at the very least the end of his importance in the storyline. We must be approaching the finale of this season now, right? They're going to have a lot to do in order to pull all the threads of mystery together. I'm excited.

The implication is that the TARDIS is either the source of the explosion that rips all of reality apart, or is close to the source when it happens. The explosion has something to do with Amy, and as the Doctor noted, both Prisoner Zero and the weeping angels knew about what was happening, somehow.

One interesting thing: the crack in the first episode led to the prison (world? dimension?), but the cracks in the last two two-parters led directly into the end of the universe. What's up with that? Could be mere plot convenience.

The whole thing has to do with memory. The duck pond, "Remember what I told you when you were seven," the memory of Rory, lost memories like the Daleks ...
