I've only seen bits and what's probably the big shocker in the end, but it's hard to say how it works on you when you aren't stuck to your cinema seat for 90 minutes, which worked wonders for Blair Witch Project.
I do wonder what the second part can offer that hasn't been done already. I hope it's not gonna turn into another franchise with 6 pointless sequels like Saw.

But I am kind of a wimp.
I didn't see it in the theatre though, but at a friend's house which probably kind of added to the scary since it was set in someone's house, you know? What I thought was really scary about it was the fact that you could realistically imagine all the things that happened happening in your own house on your own video camera ....
