and I was not impressed. Oh, it's not a bad movie, but I certainly don't think it's among the best 100 non-English-language movies ever.

I'd rate above at least Night Watch on that list
It is hard to say without having seen all of the films there but I think it was done very well as the type of film it is.

And nice amount, I don't think anyone's going to beat you there, judging by how Jens has barely seen more than me.

And you two have a head start, language wise since my native cinema is exluded. Also, I've just realised that The Proposition wouldn't qualify since it is Australian.

As for my quibbles with the list... Legolas - 31/08/2010 03:01:43 PM 1155 Views
Since it's "World Cinema," does that automatically exclude U.S. films? *NM* Palatine - 31/08/2010 05:51:00 PM 547 Views
It usually means non-English language films *NM* snoopcester - 31/08/2010 06:36:34 PM 523 Views
Not only that, it also seems to exclude British, Australian and other English-language ones. Legolas - 31/08/2010 07:57:19 PM 1008 Views
No one minds Australia's exclusion. All they make is bad Jackie Chan films. *NM* TaskmasterJack - 31/08/2010 10:55:18 PM 422 Views
