Christiane F - Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo should've been on the list too. Every bit as chilling as Requiem for a Dream, perhaps even more so (not in the least because the characters dying of heroin overdoses are twelve or thirteen...), plus Bowie's great music.
