Mark Strong played Mr Knightley in a British version of Emma. (Was it ITV?)

He was an excellent Mr Knightley. Much better than Jeremy Northam, though I love him dearly.
I like it when actors can alternate between good and evil roles and do both convincingly. That's what they're meant to do, after all.
Still, I guess some just have the right looks for bad guys, and those looks are one of the things films use to let us know who's good and who's bad. That kind of shorthand is useful in many genres of film.
I guess essentially I'm saying that I don't mind either way.

Unexpected casting of the good, the bad and the ugly.

I agree, except about Ralph Fiennes. He's just annoying. *NM*

Gina Torres is playing an insecure, weird neurotic person in Huge currently.

If we could somehow get The Rock to play the tooth fairy, that would be awesome.

That would be nothing compared to Ahnold as either a kindergarten teacher or just plain pregnant.

They keep casting Renee Zellweger as a love interest. Do they hate the male heroes so much?

I liked it when actors switch directions like that, if they do it well.
