I'm honestly not sure I've ever encountered an ear worm so bad, but maybe it's because I can't turn on the TV for more than ten minutes without hearing it at least once. A drugstore chain over here has practically made it their jingle; every ad they show has it in the background, and when one of them was on Monday my fiancee said something about liking it and wanting to know the singer. I knew it was familiar, but when she got to the chorus I was like "Oh, RIGHT... " and for the first and last time this decade the guy with no clue about music identified a song for the girl with the Spotify account. Of course, the decade only has about thirty days left, so I guess I can't rest on my laurels.

She's actually not a bad singer; I kinda like the title track from "The Show" (blame Jonielle that I even know who Lenka is, btw, because music, especially current music is NOT my fortè). Once I actually listened to all of the lyrics though I started thinking, Wait a minute, this isn't dark or even just angsty (which would be annoying enough), it sounds like she's basically complaining about having bad taste in men. That sets off an almost Pavlovian response in me, I'm afraid, and the darned thing is so inescapable that adding the affected and recurring "oh, oh... " made borrowing her soapbox while it was timely irresistible. Sorry, especially if you find yourself humming the melody and ending all YOUR sentences with "oh, oh.... " In that event all I can advise is to
