There's an episode of Family Guy where the news anchor announces that the mayor is sending the entire city police force to Columbia to look for "fictional movie character Elaine Wilder" (Joan's kidnapped sister) and I laughed my ass off.
I saw that, and ditto.

I tried watching the second one (it was on TV) the other day, and it is just not the same. Every movie should have a mudslide that ends with a drop into a big puddle.
