I'm all for changing some things from the books so it translates to television, but what the FUCK is the point of making Renley and Loras gay?! That only complicates their story lines down the road.

What a stupid fucking decision. I mean it's not even that they're gay. That would have been fine if it was part of the original story. But it's not, and now I've lost a lot of faith in how well this show will go.

That said, I can eat my words when I'm wrong, and the Mountain looked just as imposing as I pictured him in the books.


They were totally gay in the books too. The books didn't hit you over the head with it but its easy to tell that their relationship is more than friendship. Also if Renly wasn't gay than why didn't he consumate his marriage with the little queen? (can't for the life of me remember her name) The Highgarden girl. I want to say she is Loras's sister. (need to reread).

As for the Mountain that rides I can't wait to watch some of this series. I think after work tonight I am gonna try to find it on the shady side of the net. I haven't seen any episodes so I can't comment on him but in my head he should be very impressive. Bigfoot sized at least if not bigger.
