According to Dark Horizons:
"Ron Howard's planned film trilogy and interlocking TV series adaptation of Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" saga looks to be staying at Universal Pictures after all.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Howard, Brian Grazer and Akiva Goldsman have regrouped to try to bring the budget down after the project hit issues over its expense last week.
Goldsman is reportedly now rewriting the script to reflect a lower price point, while the start date will certainly not be this Fall as previously planned. The delay also raises a question as to whether Javier Bardem will still be involved."
Thanks for that info.
Kirk: Spock, you want to know something? Everybody’s human.
Spock: I find that remark…insulting.
