They could have ensured that someone outside the US and UK could broadcast/transmit it to your region of the world. If they didn't, that is their problem.
Just torrent the show (but don't seed, apparently that is how the cable companies track who is torrenting) and enjoy its fabulous-ness.
But yes, those of us who live neither in the US, nor in the UK, and aren't particularly inclined to download illegally, have to wait a good while before we get to see Game of Thrones.

You actually only need it for one month, since all episodes are on HBO-on demand or HBOGO.
