The bullet went straight through the deer into Carl. It wasn't angled. And He was standing not 5 feet away. Could the fat ass whatever-his-name-is really not see him through the scope of his rifle standing right in the bullet's path? I'm still upset that the writers had such oversight on this point that it's near impossible to not see him. Should have made it Merle who shot him.


You have apparently never shot a deer? You are looking through the sites or scope at the deer not little human legs on blue jeans behind it. Straight at the broadside. And, it wouldn't be unusual at all for a high powered rifle bullet to go straight through the deer. Especially if he were aiming for the vital right behind the shoulder blad/front leg and didn't hit bone.

Just saying... ;)


Look at that deer! It's not *that* big. I've shot rifles before. It's pretty hard to miss a kid standing that close to the deer witha straight shot like he had. It's possible that the color of his clothes combined with the forest threw him off...but it's still a contrast.

I'm not saying it's weird the bullet went thru the deer. I'm just saying it's unusual Otis didn't see him.
