There has been LOADS of disgust at the Saw films. I've read and heard plenty.

Not so much about The Hangover, but people treat comedy differently anyway.
The point is that Twilight is written for, and aimed at, a teenage audience (whoever else likes it is immaterial) and people are, understandably, worried at the messages it sends to girls and boys who are at such an impressionable age.
It doesn't have the positive values of Harry Potter, for example. And so it, justfiably, is questioned.
Frankly, I'm sure Stephenie Meyer and the films' producers love the amount of discussion Twilight generates.
