I was unable to secure my Auchentoshan so I went with the Glenfidditch 30 year.

A good whisky definitely completes the Mad Men feel.
The yé-yé number "Zou Bisou Bisou" was released on iTunes, and I ended up wandering through lots of crap to find something called Psychorama Français, which I liked a LOT better - acid music from the late 1960s along the lines of "Incense and Peppermint" or, really, anything from Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane. The lyrics were pretty messed up for some of the songs, too, which was a pleasant surprise.
I did end up downloading a couple of the fluffy yé-yé songs for a "Summer Mix" that I have for cookouts when the weather is nice - they fit the mood (along with a great German-language version of "Downtown" which is just hilarious). I could easily see, however, that if that had never gone away where I live I would already hate or even loathe it.
I then ended up, somehow, at an album that purported to be a very academically researched attempt at reconstructing music from the ancient world and realized I needed to stop before I ended up buying more than $300 of music on iTunes in one day (yeah, this was one of those days when none of my clients got back to me - tomorrow will probably be Hell as a result). I'm tempted to post an odd survey on MP3 collections as a result.

Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.
– Procopius

It really looks like no one watches Mad Men based on the absence of discussion.

I intend to, at some point. Though as Stephen notes, the DVDs are expensive. *NM*

People buy DVDs? I thought everything was streaming or Blu-Ray now.

I'm still hoping Blu-Ray will go the way of the betacam.

You're also by default saying you can't pay for Netflix streaming

Not much to say. Everyone's an asshole, so you watch it without caring or getting involved.

Yes, but that role still fits the common thread of casting and how it relates to Mad Men

I think you're selectively remembering roles for many of the cast members.

I've never seen more than about 3 minutes of an episode. The idea is not interesting to me. *NM*
