Then my brother gave me a BluRay film for my bday, unaware that I didn't have a player yet. So I got one and started buying BR films ever since. The difference IS rather striking in the best cases and it looks incredibly detailed. However, of course I can not be arsed to buy all my DVDs all over again :P

Considering that DVDs hardly get any special features anymore and even keep getting smaller aisles than the BR at stores, I think BR is here to stay.
