Since to an American audience, most British shows seem almost like mini-series anyways (this is NOT a judgement call, just a recognition of how short a "season" British shows tend to be, even if there is a following series of 6-8 episodes).

But then again I am becoming a huge Romola Garai fan, so I'll watch anything she's in (have you seen the Vanity Fair starring her alongside a surprisingly convincingly British Reese Witherspoon, plus James Purefoy and Jim Broadbent?).


It is lovely. And you left out Rhys Ifans, who is absolutely wonderful as Dobbin.
