Tolkien just didn't write enough about Radagast for him to appear in the movies. I'm very much getting an "elves in Helm's Deep" vibe here. I don't like that vibe.
There's going to be a lot in these three movies that Tolkien didn't write. And personally, I rank Radagast rather low on the list of things they could mess up due to that...
