No! Why could they not have cast an inherently obvious choice like Keaton or Bale were at the time? Cannoli Send a noteboard - 28/08/2013 01:31:20 AM

Ben Affleck has been cast as Batman in the upcoming sequel to Superman: Man of Steel.

Henry Cavill will return as Superman, and Ben Affleck will join the cast as the Dark Knight in the superhero team-up.

That's right, Ben Affleck. Batman. Ben Affleck. Batman.

still in shock . . .

He looks the part. I can't believe they are going to humiliate Batman by putting him in a Superman movie. It's Hawkeye in the Avengers all over again. Especially if this is a direct sequel to Man of Steel that relies on people having watched the prior movie, where Kryptonians move too fast for humans to actually do anything about it. Seriously, I don't care what a bunch of picture books have to say on the subject - there is no place for Batman in that franchise.
