1) I don't think it was baseless. Card was connected to the movie he was a producer yet he didn't get paid for he was paid several years ago for the movie rights.
2) It isn't just Ender Game that Card talks about abuse, he has numerous other novels where the main characters are
Abused as Children
Raped as Young Adults
Pedophilla perputrated on Children
Kidnapped as a child, and moved to a foreign land
etc
So how is Ender’s Game a good story? (Book / Movie Spoilers)
