I like the show (although I haven't seen the last couple of seasons, which I've heard aren't great), but it definitely doesn't rely heavily on being highbrow or excessively clever. It's mostly just colorful personalities bouncing off of each other, along with a dose of "heartwarming."
I amuse myself.
The star of the new Minority Report TV show is a black woman! I am not making this up!
