Davros wasn't a human. He was a Kaled, the human-like species that the Daleks evolved into. We see the Kaleds running around like ordinary people in Genesis of the Daleks, a series with the Fourth Doctor, the wikipedia entry of which I have conveniently linked below.

As much as I would like to know that Daleks aren't going to be popping up everywhere in Doctor Who (and they've been badly overused - entire years went by without a Dalek in the old series), that premise doesn't hold water.


Weren't they descended from humans who had gone to that planet in the first place? Or was that Leela's people?


that all the humans/humanoids were descendants of Earth who went along their evolutionary way.
