People who always complain that there were only few good movies out in a year just didn't go and watch enough of them, or maybe I am easy to please. But I'll give you that some blockbusters this year were not as great as expected but merely decent entertainment. Shocking.
I watched a lot of movies this year many of which I saw online. Transformers was far more hideous than the first one (which took true talent to achieve), started to watch Avatar online but it was so cheesy and crappy that I just stopped, enjoyed Paranormal Activity, Harry Potter was decent, UP was so sad it wasn't even good, G.I. Joe let me down major (I loved watching G.I. Joe when I was little) and 2012 (come on, come up with a new story maybe? disaster movies are so far past their life cycle). So out of those movies, most of them were garbage.
People who prefer watching films online see movies so differently than me that it's not even worth the discussion

The ones I like I saw in theater. Sherlock Holmes, Harry Potter and Paranormal Activity. I just won't shell out the money to see a movie in theater unless I'm reasonably sure I will like it.
Your mom. That's right. The cat is out of the bag. Your mom.

I believe it is a convention of the rhetorical question that an answer is not actually invited.

It made it's budget back in the opening weekend. I'd say a sequel is innevitable now. *NM*

Well they were shamelessly plugging a sequel in the last 5 minutes, so I expected no less

It's a good one. If you only have the budget for one movie, pick this one over Avatar.

Funny you should say that...we saw this movie today, chosen over Avatar.

Just saw this tonight. It might well be one of the only good movies released in 2009.
