Chemistry between Holmes and Watson was undeniably good. Dialog was snappy with funny moments.

But the story was flat. I went in hoping for a revival from Guy Richie, a return to Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. I didn't get it. Yeah, this movie had the Guy-Richie look, but it spent time explaining things instead of allowing them to happen. As good as Holmes and Watson were together, I still felt like it could have been better; it was almost like a less complex version of House and Wilson.

Overall, my view on this movie... unmet potential. Could have been really clever. Could have been really entertaining. Lots of could have beens.
