Makes my head spin. Jacob has touched Kate--he comes to her 'rescue' when she tries to shoplift as a 10 year old. Taps her on the nose and tells her to 'be good'. Why isn't she a candidate? Maybe women can't be Island guardians (this assumes the Chosen Kwon is Jin). Maybe she's just a plot device to get others to come to the Island (Jack and Sawyer, for instance).

Hah, so he did meet her. I was pretty sure he did, just not the situation anymore. Really odd she isn't a number, then.


I repeat my suggestion that only men are eligible to be guardians. Interesting that this is what 'Jacob's Lists' and 'The Numbers' are: Lists of candidates and non-candidates. Locke was candidate #4, so he has been in the running for a very long time.


Yeah does 4 mean he was the first of this bunch to be considered? Who was 1? And is Hugo as number 8 the next to pass or fail?

I just read that Shanon Rutherford was on the wall as number 31, crossed through. Hmm.
