Flocke made it a point to mention that he didn't know if Kwon was for Sun or Jin. I think this is a bit of deflection on the writers part. Isn't it possible that Shephard could mean Jack or Christian or even Clair?


Possibly, but I would think that one would have to be alive to be the protector, and Clair's last name isn't Shephard, regardless of who her father is. I find it unlikely that Jacob would call her that. We also don't know if Jacob ever touched Clair like he did with the others on the list.
