Looking back 1982 was a great year for movies. PhotoJim Send a noteboard - 15/03/2010 05:56:54 PM
Ghandi, Tootsie, 48 Hours, First Blood, Diner, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, Eating Raoul, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Pink Floyd the Wall, Porky's, Quest for Fire, Sophie's Choice, An Officer and a Gentleman (don't laugh too much), The World According to Garp, and most importantly Grease 2 were all released that year.

OK so maybe Grease 2 wasn't such an accomplishment except maybe for the 'Let's do it for our country song'.

But still a good year for film.

Who didn't appreciate Phoebe Cates coming out of the pool in Fast Times at Ridgemont High? Porky's also spawned a generation of jokes. And The World According to Garp is still my favorite Robin Williams role.

Everybody was Kung Fu fighting!

Not to be rude but who are you? And I suppose equally important, where are we?
