It just feels wrong. Sorry. Maybe he gets better as the book goes on, but this is not the same. It's not bad, and it does not detract from the story, but it does not feel the same. I don't think it's going to matter. I still enjoyed reading the chapter, and I have every intention of reading the book the day it comes out, with not one less ounce of anticipation. But it is not RJ's writing, for those of you to whom such things matter.
What's your (viable) preferred alternative? Were it up to me, RJ would still be writing WoT books and we'd still be arguing on the wotmania WoTMB about which Forsaken is strongest (it's Demandred, btw
) but sometimes you take what you can get and are grateful for it. Sanderson's an established writer in his own right, with his own style and technique just as personalized as Jordans, so however much he tried he was never going to be a Jordan clone. As long as the writing is still good and true to Jordans narrative, it may take some adjustment, but it will be worth the effort.
Honorbound and honored to be Bonded to Mahtaliel Sedai

Could it be rough draft that Sanderson kept, and Jordan never polished? *NM*

No. It was never meant to be, it never could be and Sanderson never pretended otherwise.
