Read it, still disagree. Kieran Send a noteboard - 05/05/2010 12:50:59 AM
you'll see that the division of male/female AS in the AoL was over how to defeat the Dark One. LTT proposed and advanced his plan - to go to SG and "seal" the bore. The female contingent (led by Latra?) felt it was much safer to seek out the missing CK access keys and use those to stop the DO. The disagreement between them was so strong that the females all agreed, union-style, to boycott LTT's plan.
In that sense, I consider the seals (and the resulting taint) to be the men's plan, while the use of the CK is the females' plan. Put in that context, do you still disagree?

Nope

Still think Rand just fixed LTT goof-up. I think that the female plan would have been exponentially more destructive to civilization. I think that had they used the CK at SG then both halves of the source would become tainted. I'm even more sure of this after TGS since Rand took out the male CK so it will obviously not help in the LB. However Calandor which was made by both male and female probably will play apart in the LB. the foreshadowing of male and female working best together has been stated too much. There was also too much talk of how world level destructive the CK were, they were too powerful for people too have.

Yes, it is fitting that women's role was to clean up after the men did all the work. - 29/04/2010 10:59:57 PM 849 Views
