Yes it has to! LTT just patched it! Because he didn't know how to heal the Pattern. But the idea was that the seals would hold forever. Rand needs to find a way to do this and we know nothing of how this is going to be done.

If it can be done this will reveal itself in the last three books.
And I find that aspect of Tarmon Gai'don to be one of the most exciting. Rand has to do what the elite of the AoL could not!

But there is nothing to say the Bore will be sealed. Certain criteria must be fulfilled for Rand to win at the last battle.
If that doesn't happen and if the Bore is not sealed, then the Dark One will win!
That can happen.

But according to Jordan, good wins in the end.
We can rest assured of that!
