Otherwise it would make no sense that they speak of the Book of Translation which returns them to their home world.


Or Portal Stone aliens like the Seanchan creatures. Probably more the latter, with the Book of Translation as like some kind of mobile Portal Stone which can return them all to their home world or dimension.

However, since the Ogier aren't around now (in the First Age) and there isn't enough time (millions of years would be needed) for them to evolve naturally, them coming from 'elsewhere' is the only possibility.
