Erikson takes more effort than the average fantasy book that's translated, without being marketable as a more literary kind of work like e.g. Gene Wolfe might be. My guess would be they discovered that most of the target audience just bought him in English and didn't feel like waiting for a translation, and so they stopped translating.

And as for Bakker, Wikipedia says there's a French translation for all of the PoN trilogy, but amazon.fr doesn't even have the translation of Thousandfold Thought, which doesn't look like a good sign either.
