I am in the camp that feels Sanderson didn't catch Mat's je ne sais quoi. Though a large portion of Mat's voice was lost due to Sanderson's misstep with Westland cursing. Planning overly elaborate and wholly unnecessary infiltration plans didn't help either.

I really hope he fixes the cursing in TofM.
