It's not SL in the parallel, it's Mordeth, ie Fain.

Another interesting point is that Rand is the Light, with the dual wound in his side. Fain on the other hand has become a meld of the Shadow and Mordeth. He IS the same essence as the wound. I believe that will play a part in Rand's wound later.
