Perhaps he will be sent to infiltrate Tuon's organization? She has nothing but female channelers nearby, so is in a similar situation to Egwene and she is so intent on her worldview that she would not be able to easily think that a woman could channel saidin.
Yeah, and with Semirhage & Suroth out of the picture now, the Shadow needs to get someone else involved with the Seanchan pronto, if they still hope to use them. Aran'gar is immediately available, so she seems the logical choice. But given how late in the game it is, infiltration would be too slow a process, I think. Rather, she'd likely have to assume another key Seanchan's identity, I think. That's more dangerous, it terms of the potential of being caught out as an imposter, but the Shadow needs to act quickly, so they don't really have much choice. Plus, I doubt Shadow HQ would consider it much of a loss, if Aran'gar was exposed & killed. She's pretty much a disposable asset, at this point.

Graendal strikes me as a voyeur - she likes to watch more than actively participate, I suspect.

I think the patron's identity might be something that RJ not necessarily wanted to reveal. *NM*

Maybe Aran'gar rather hides among the 100.000, i.e. she would be hard to discover
