The key difference is that the Oaths still allow autonomy and self-possession. Seanchan treat human beings as weapons and toys.


1. The Aes Sedai have a choice when they swear the Three Oaths, the damane don't.
2. The damane are intentionally broken, Aes Sedai don't.
3. The oaths only limit their ability to lie or fight in certain circumstances. Otherwise they are free.
4. Seanchan enslave non channelers as well. Their entire empire is founded on slavery (da'covale, etc.).

There is *no* justification for slavery for any reason. Period.
