His tweets are mirrored on his Facebook page, and I've already seen people say that it's Thom dying to save Moiraine, or Rand dying and leaving us with a huge cliffhanger.


I dunno. Elayne dies giving birth? Which would be funny, given that she's so reckless knowing her babies will be born healthy. But yeah, I don't really think so.



I think the hard thing is going to be resisting the urge to look at the name of Chapter 81 before I start reading the book. I don't want to have any chance of spoilers. *tries to forget all about Chapter 81*


Well I don't think it was too big of a scene or RJ would have written it I think. From comments from BS, RJ skipped all over the place and probably did the most important scenes first. This is one that BS is proud of, though. This is pure speculation, but my guess is that it will most likely be a minor character dying like Cadsuane, or Faile, or Galad, etc.. My gut feeling is that most of the Moiraine rescue is already written so I think that Thom is safe in chapter 81 at least.

It could be the destruction of a major city as well. Caemlyn perhaps?
